NEW, juicy, savoury.
New look: screen-printed labels and a series of new selections will greet you with a whole new Stoneboat Pinot House--the wines are just as solid.
This one, is made of Pinotage--a South African variety (Cinsault crossed with Pinot Noir), which has its fans and its critics, but when you talk about this rare variety in British Columbia, Stoneboat is usually the first to spring to mind.
Notes of strawberries and smoke, wild grasses and sage, bacon fat and ink, black raspberry and fennel are layered with spices. The palate is a mirror of the nose; jit is also juicy and savoury and finely textured. Very good levity here, with an earthy finish is dusty cocoa tannins.
